When RML took on the largest project in their company's history, they needed automation partners they could trust to deliver for their customer. They chose Nemesys.
The project delivered an advanced automation system for a dairy industry leader, covering machine control, operator interfaces, filler integration, and a full palletising system. RML built the machinery. Nemesys built the intelligence that runs it.
Nemesys was tasked with designing the machine code and interface touchscreens for the Bag-in-Box and Bulk Fillers built by RML. That scope extended into the wider plant:
Ashley Bowen, Senior Automation Systems Engineer at Nemesys, brought extensive knowledge of Schneider's hardware and software offerings. These were used throughout the project for processors, touchscreens, and integration with existing equipment on site.
Ashley had also worked alongside the customer's automation team for several years, giving him a clear understanding of their expectations and requirements for project delivery.
That experience, combined with close collaboration with RML, produced a solution that suited the customer and allowed them to achieve their targets.

The project increased productivity and capacity at the customer's specialty cream products plant.
The new equipment and fillers more than doubled the capacity of formulations and product mixing at the front end, and streamlined the packing process at the back end.
"This was the largest project in our company's history, and we needed automation partners we could trust. Nemesys made that an easy choice. Their team integrated with ours from design through to commissioning on site, and the handover between our scope and theirs was seamless.
Aron May, Project Sales Engineer, RML
Following this partnership, RML and Nemesys are seeking further opportunities to collaborate on world-class production automation machinery for New Zealand customers. Both businesses have delivered strong results alongside industry-leading New Zealand companies. The aim is to combine that knowledge and build on this project's success for more companies across the country.
